Q: I would like to know if there are any gas stations in Davenport that will pump gas for senior citizens or the handicapped.

— Katie, Davenport

A: Denise Heinrichs of the Generations Area Agency on Aging said she knew of two full-service stations in Davenport where someone will pump your gas for you — Major's Second and One Service at 901 W. 2nd St., and Dittmer's Service at 1356 W. Locust St. Two other full-service stations in the Quad-Cities are Silvis Independent Service, 1540 1st Ave., Silvis, and Walt's Service, 2827 18th Ave., Rock Island.

Q: I may be a bit off the track, but antiques and antiquing exists to this day and some other old stuff gets manufactured once again, such as Necco Wafers and Black Jack and Clove gum. I wish so much Evening in Paris would make a comeback. Is there anywhere in this country or abroad where one can buy Evening in Paris perfume?

— Susan, Davenport

A: Soir de Paris, or Evening in Paris as the perfume was known in the United States, once was billed as "the fragrance more women wear than any other in the world," but had disappeared by 1969. The perfume is available at www.vermontcountrystore.com, the Web site where everything old is new again.
