Deadline is Friday for Women of the Year nominations

Nominations are being accepted until Friday, July 21, for the sixth annual Quad-City Women of the Year Awards.

The program, which seeks to honor women who have made a difference in their community through their volunteerism, is sponsored by the Junior League of the Quad Cities and the Quad-City Times.

The awards will be presented to five adult women and one female student (high school or college) at the Women of the Year luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Outing Club. The Junior League of the Quad Cities will present a $300 monetary award to each recipient’s charity of choice.
