As parents of former and current North Scott high school students, we were saddened at the departure of Dr. Sherer. In our experience and estimation, Dr. Sherer was quite innovative and instrumental in bringing about many positive changes during his tenure. He seemed to be truly interested in developing and recognizing the talents and skills of the students at North Scott. He personally encouraged students to “reach” beyond the standard to work toward their potential. He was a student’s principal, always looking to extend their opportunities.

We thank him for moving North Scott academics forward and for his compassion regarding students of all abilities. We will miss his presence.
