Basic training

Air Force Airman Mathew Harris, son of Connie Shadden, Moline, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is a 2002 graduate of Moline High School.

Air Force Airman Jon Pacunas, son of Teresa Klemme and grandson of Wayne and Donetta Klemme, all of Davenport, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is a 2006 graduate of Davenport West High School.

Pfc. Shaun McDonough, son of Timothy and Mary McDonough, Davenport, graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Deport, San Diego. He will attend Marine Corps School of Infantry and Security Forces School, Chesapeake, Va. He was screened and hand picked to serve in Presidential Support at the White House or Presidential Retreat Camp David. He is a 2006 graduate of Davenport North High School.

Pfc. Devin Daniels, son of Kitty Yoerger, DeWitt, Iowa, and Paul Daniels, Camanche, Iowa, graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. He will attend Marine Corps School of Infantry and Security Forces School, Chesapeake, Va. He was screened and hand picked to serve in Presidential support at the White House or Presidential Retreat Camp David. He is a 2006 graduate of Davenport North High School.

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Shawn Beard, son of Alvin and Lynda Beard, Moline, is an aircrew life support supervisor with the F-22 Raptor, the Air Force’s newest fighter aircraft. He is a member of the 27th Fighter Squadron, Langley Air force Base, Va., one of only two Raptor units currently operational within the Air Force. Beard takes care of the sophisticated and deadly fighter aircraft that integrates the latest avionics, stealth and super cruise capabilities.
