Bellevue man dies in single-vehicle accident

DUBUQUE, Iowa — A Bellevue man has died of injuries he received in a one-vehicle accident early Saturday on U.S. 52 near Dubuque.

Randy Gerard Sieverding, 39, was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque just after midnight Saturday and died later of his injuries.

Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department said Sieverding was alone in his truck and was driving northwest on U.S. 52 near Olde Massey Road when he apparently lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. He went off the road and into the ditch, where his truck hit a tree.

Deputies said the accident is still under investigation.
