Davenport man injured by gunshot

TODAY: (Updated 9:13 a.m.) A 30-year-old Davenport man was wounded by a gunshot late Wednesday night.

Davenport police say the man was grazed on his side by the shot. The shooting occurred about 11:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of College Avenue. The man was walking from his house to his vehicle when the shooting took place; the vehicle also was damaged.

The victim was treated and released at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street. No arrests have been made, and the incident is under investigation.
