Middle Road closure extended

Middle Road in Bettendorf from Crow Creek Road on the north to Norwood Drive on the south will be closed a little longer than planned.

The current reconstruction of Middle Road will require the closure to be extended until Oct. 29. The extension is because of contractor delays caused by unseasonably wet weather and utility conflicts. Local traffic access will be maintained from the north to Tanglewood Road and from the south via Woodfield Drive. The detour for Middle Road will remain on 53rd Avenue and Devils Glen Road.

The City of Bettendorf, Valley Construction Co. and Howard R. Green Co. are taking all actions possible to accelerate the re-opening of Middle Road.
