Paul surprises observers with cash count

Republican Ron Paul surprised many observers when the Texas congressman reported raising more than $5 million for his presidential campaign in the third quarter of 2007.

“Dr. Paul’s message is freedom, peace and prosperity,” said Kent Snyder, Paul’s campaign chairman. “As these fundraising numbers show, more Americans each day are embracing Dr. Paul’s message.”
