Lujack Lexus of the Quad-Cities has donated $2,500 to the YWCA of the Quad-Cities, and the gift has been matched by the Lexus Pursuit of Potential program.
The funds will support the YWCA’s Three O’Clock Project, said Todd Hopkins, general manager of the dealership. “We are impressed with their after-school program because it helps give children tools to improve their quality of life and increase their hope for the future,” he said.
The Three O’Clock Project is an afterschool program for at-risk youth in the Rock Island/Milan School District. The YWCA provides transportation to and from the program, which operates from 2:30 to 5 p.m. four days per week. A wide variety of educational activities are offered, including substance abuse programming, anger management, arts, science, drama, swimming, field trips and games.
