Elizabeth Flesch

School: Bettendorf High School

Parents: Sally and Robert Flesch

Your plans for the future: “I would like to attend Montana State University or the University of Idaho and major in wildlife biology. I would then like to earn my master’s degree and work as a wildlife biologist in and around Yellowstone National Park. During my life I also want to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and its inhabitants.”

What do you do to release stress? “I enjoy playing my flute and piccolo, gardening, reading and crocheting. I also like to take care of my two guinea pigs and write to my German pen pals.”

What is your secret ambition? “I think it would be exciting to live and work in Germany. In the summer of 2006, I was an exchange student in

Germany for four weeks, and I loved every minute of it. I love the German language, people, and culture, and I wish I could spend more time there.”
