The IRS recently stated that they were mailing 35,000,000 letters reminding people how to meet requirements to receive an economic stimulus check. The principal point is that many citizens are not required to file taxes because of income primarily based on Social Security and/or others who may not have earned sufficient income to file taxes. The mailing list is only those who filed taxes last tax year. This means that they are making this huge mailing to remind people to file taxes this year, but the same people who were not required to file last tax year will not receive this mailing. Am I the only one who sees a problem here?
