My nephew, Spencer Lorenz, recently went through surgery to remove a rare form of tumor from his adrenal gland.

Before his surgery, he endured the terrible

symptoms while he was still working and going to  Davenport West  High School.

He is a very courageous young man after everything he has endured. Iowa City nurses said that they had never seen anyone who endured pain like he did, especially after surgery, because he didn’t want to get addicted to pain medications.  Upon leaving the hospital, he gave his balloons that he’d been given  to the other patients.

He  graduated early with honors this year from  West. He is a gifted young man with a bright future.

Just four or five in one million people get pheochromocytomas in the United Stated each year.

Spencer’s tumor was found to be cancerous and we are praying for the Lord’s healing touch. Spencer is truly “one in a million” and we love you very much.
