Gunman holds up restaurant in Moline

Moline police are seeking information about an armed robbery late Sunday at

Long John Silver’s, 4205 Avenue of the Cities.

Police received a call shortly after 9 p.m. about a robbery. A man who was wearing a mask and a black hooded sweatshirt came into the restaurant.

He displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said.

The employees were not injured.

The man ran away on foot. A Rock Island Police Department K-9 dog was brought to the scene, but the man had not been found late Sunday.

Illinois State Police processed the crime scene.
