Man accused of having sex with teen

CLINTON, Iowa — A 27-year-old Clinton man has been charged with allegedly having consensual sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Travis Lee Walters allegedly had sex with the girl three times in his Clinton apartment in October and November, according to court records.
Walters was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of third-degree sexual abuse. He was being held Friday in the Clinton County Jail on $30,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 11. Third-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony, punishable by a maximum of 10 years in prison.
