DES MOINES -- Iowa legislators honored the Wartburg College wrestling team Tuesday for its victory last month at the NCAA Division III national championship.

“These coaches and athletes representing Wartburg College, in my opinion, represent what college athletics is supposed to be,” Sen. Bill Heckroth, D-Waverly, said.

Team members, coaches and other officials from the Waverly-based college stood with Heckroth on the Senate floor.
