Winter gets worse with age

This is in regard to the nearly-18-year-old who said this was nearly the worst winter she’s been through (“Fix crummy roads,” April 10).

Poor baby. I’m 82 and it is the worst for me. Winter 1978 and 1979 were terrible but we didn’t have four inches of ice before the snow.

I used to work in the Quad-Cities and drove from Erie with no heater in 20 to 30-degree-below-zero weather. Now that, my dear, is a winter that you have to look forward to.
