Local quilters will sew quilt blocks Tuesday at Neal’s Vacuum and Sewing Center for families of soldiers who died in combat. The effort is coordinated by Sandy Carstensen, of Clinton, Iowa, national coordinator of Home of the Brave Quilts movement. Tuesday’s effort will be filmed for an Internet quilt show. To volunteer for sew-ins, contact Jeanette Suhorepetz at (563)-355-2852.
