Bill Clinton had his day, and I have to say we all loved it. The economy was great. But now it is time to move on. We need a new direction.

All of the talk of lack of substance on Obama’s part is not founded. If people would search out the facts, they would realize this. Take the time to do your research before judging. An open mind is a thinking and learning mind.

I fondly remember the ’60s  and ’70s, when people of all races, religions and classes, came together to let Washington know what they thought. That is what is happening again.

I know some will say that it was an era of protests and confusion. In truth, media only showed the negative aspects because that was what sold. But the real story was the people were heard in a loud, cohesive voice, and a multitude of positive changes came about because of it. I’m not talking about riots and anarchy. I’m talking about peaceful gatherings, peaceful demonstrations and a higher consciousness of what could be.

So to those that think substance is lacking from Obama’s message, I say, we are the substance. We are the hope. Washington will never change if we don’t speak out. Obama has started this movement. Now it is up to us, our voices united as one. I am convinced that if Obama is elected president, he will listen to the voice of the people.
