Bone marrow drives will be held from noon to 6 p.m. today at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, 5500 Lakeview Parkway, Davenport, and from 10 a.m. to

2 p.m. Saturday at the Davenport office and at 3850 Blackhawk Road, Rock Island.

The center is partnering with Iowa Marrow Donor Program to host the drives. Becoming a donor is a safe, simple procedure. A potential donor fills out a brief health questionnaire, signs a consent form to have their tissue type listed on the registry and provides a cheek swab sample.

 For information, call(800) 747-5401, ext. 199.
