Ride will fund scholarships

Bettendorf American Legion Riders will host a motorcycle ride to raise funds for American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Registration will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 17 at VFW/American Legion, Bettendorf. The ride costs $10 and will end at American Legion in Milan, Ill., by 6 p.m.

Since 2004, American Legion Legacy Scholarship has awarded $74,000 to children who have lost a military parent in active duty. Send donations to American Legion Riders Chapter 154, ATTN: Legacy Scholarship Fund, 2814 State St., Bettendorf, IA 52722.
