Bandits, Cougars postponed

Wet grounds after more than 2 inches of rain overnight prompted the postponement of Sunday’s Midwest League matinee between Quad-Cities and Kane County.

Because the Cougars do not return to Modern Woodmen Park during the first half of the season, the game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when Quad-Cities visits Kane County for a series that runs May 23-26. The date of the make-up has not yet been determined.

The River Bandits, however, have rescheduled Mother’s Day. The club will be giving away a free housecleaning and free manicures at a home game on May 28 against Burlington.
