DUBUQUE, Iowa — Officials say a Dubuque teenager was injured after falling about 80 feet from a cliff.
Authorities say 17-year-old Gregory Klauer and another teen were walking in the Mines of Spain area near Dubuque on Sunday when they went off the trail to the edge of the bluff. Klauer crawled over the edge and slipped. He fell about 80 feet and ended up next to a tree.
Klauer was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. He was listed in stable condition on Sunday. The hospital had no immediate update on his condition on Monday.
The incident remains under investigation.
