Portabella’s Carryout and Catering, 907 15th Ave., East Moline, has extended its hours to include serving dinner on weekdays.
Owner Jennifer Sisler said the restaurant and catering business opened in late February, offering lunch hours only. New hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is not open weekends because of the volume of its catering business, she said.
The restaurant features a variety of menu items, including portabella mushroom lasagna, salmon, pork osso buco and calamari, and lunchtime items such as Italian sausage, Italian meatballs, grilled steakburger, chicken parmesan, and portabella fries. It also offers a carryout business for dinners.
Sisler operated Portabella’s Italian Bistro, 1409 5th Ave., Moline., and a catering business under the corporation name of Serendipity Banquets Inc. The restaurant closed in December, and the corporation filed for bankruptcy in February. The new corporation, including the catering business, is Portabella’s Banquets Inc.
Another venture, Portabella’s Cafe, a restaurant that operated in the Food Court in SouthPark Mall, closed May 3, she said, citing the lack of strong customer traffic in the mall.
