Good Thursday morning, Quad-Cities. At 6 a.m. it’s 47 degrees with fog. Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees. Tonight’s low will be 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The road work season is upon us. Currently, there are more than two dozen projects affecting city and/or county roads in the region. Check the list before you head out this morning.

Did you catch “American Idol” last night?  It’s now down to two contestants — David vs. David. Syesha Mercado was voted off  the show Wednesday night, paving the way for a showdown between David Archuleta and David Cook. Archuleta is the 17-year-old singing prodigy from Murray, Utah, with the overly involved stage dad. And Cook is the 25-year-old former bartender from Blue Springs, Mo., with an emo edge that the angelic Arculeta lacks. Who will snag the title next Wednesday? One thing is for sure: His name will be David.
