1 wounded in Davenport shooting

Davenport police are investigating an overnight shooting in a central city neighborhood.

Police were in the area of 14th Street and Pershing Avenue about 1:30 a.m. when they heard two gunshots.

Police pursued a vehicle which they stopped at 12th Street and Oneida Avenue. Three people in the vehicle were taken into custody and are being questioned about the shooting.

A male was taken to Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, with wounds to the leg. His injuries were non-life threatening.

Other details were not available early today.

The shooting remains under investigation.
