Panel to discuss recruitment strategies

DavenportOne and Iowa Association of Business and Industry will host a panel discussion on strategies for recruiting from alternative work force pools, including mature adults, immigrants, young professionals and physically and mentally challenged people.

The event will take place May 28 at the Blong Technology Center, Room 207, 8500 Hillandale Road, Davenport.

Featured panelists include Kris Jensen, Wisdom Worker Solutions; Barb McClannahan, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services; Heidi Wicks, Iowa Workforce Development; Tom Blessing, Nestle Purina PetCare Company; and Crystal Dyer, Tyson Fresh Meats.

Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. with the panel discussion from 8-9:30 a.m. A briefing to explain the business implications of the Smoke Free Air Act will take place immediately after the session from 9:30-9:45 a.m.
