The film, “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed,” died a much deserved death after a few days at the cinemas. You, Ben Stein, are no Michael Moore.
When a balanced treatment for scientific-creationism in science class law was passed in 1981, evolution was put on trial and scored a decisive victory in McLean V. The Arkansas Board of Education. The importance of this judgment cannot be overstated. It demonstrated that scientific-creationism was formulated by unqualified nincompoops who only saw what they wanted to see.
The usual excuse offered by scientific-creationists is that Judge Overton was prejudiced.
Next, there arose so-called intelligent design theory. This was an attempt to get scientific-creationism into science class through the back door after the front door got slammed shut in McLean.
When a requirement for the teaching of intelligent design theory in Pennsylvania’s public schools was passed in 2005, it was also challenged in court, Kitzmiller V. Dover. And, once again, evolution scored a decisive victory.
Curiously, this trial’s judge is a lifetime Republican . So, what’s the anti-evolutionists excuse this time?
