A Davenport man is accused of stalking after repeatedly calling the mother of his child, with several of the calls made while she was in the hospital after giving birth.
Justin Lee Crowe, 21, 932 S. Concord St., No. 4, has a protection order preventing him from contacting the woman. However, he continued to call the woman.
The woman reported Crowe had called her at least 50 times on May 8 while she was shopping with her mother.
He called three times on May 13 while she was in the hospital giving birth to their child.
He called an additional 22 times on the morning of May 14 and three more times while a police officer was taking the report.
When the woman refused to answer and her voice mailbox was full, he started calling the hospital room she was in.
The woman was listed as a “privacy patient,” and it is unknown how he got her room number.
Crowe threatened to kill the woman, their baby, her parents and some of her friends, police said. They recorded at least 10 messages for evidence.
“(The woman) feels that Crowe is capable of carrying out his threats and he becomes more agitated when she calls the police on him,” the police report states.
“(She) was extremely scared when Crowe found out which hospital room she was in, so the nurses switched her to a different room, blocked all phone calls, and requested extra patrol by security.”
