I made it!

Wow, that was pretty easy. I went from Rock Island to Moline. I think it took me all of 10-12 minutes. It was a little colder than I was prepared for and the fingers were a trifle numb by the time I arrived. My commute is probably three miles.

I listened to the birds chirp all the way to work. They sure are active in the morning, getting ready for their day, a very pleasant sound. On Sunday night I was a little worried about the ride, but I was fine. I think the ride home with more traffic will be a bit hairy.

The guard rails are very low along the new overpass at John Deere Road, which wigged me out. The only thing I missed was my morning fix of NPR!
