REPORT

Assumption 5-2, North Scott 0-1: Davenport Assumption stayed perfect in the Mississippi Athletic Conference after its sweep of North Scott.

Adam Gacke limited North Scott to no runs and four hits in the opener, while Alex Mallonee had two hits and Willie Argo tripled and drove in two runs for the Knights.

North Scott’s Greg Daniels and Cole Prater allowed only three hits in the nightcap. Billy Dittmer had North Scott’s only RBI in Game 2.

Muscatine 15-2, Davenport North 5-7: Brance Rivera had four hits and six RBIs, while Ben Hammann added two home runs and drove in three during Game 1 of Muscatine’s split with Davenport North.

In Game 2, North’s Zach Rohlf and Chris Caudill allowed two runs on six hits. Joey Schlader supplied the offense for North, pounding out two hits and driving in two.

Central 6-5, Burlington 4-13: Davenport Central and Burlington split a MAC doubleheader in Burlington.

In the first game, Max Mayfield had a home run and three RBIs to lead the Blue Devils past the Grayhounds. Connor Gilland and Dallas Burke added doubles for Central.

The Grayhounds pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of six Central errors in the second game. Kyle Peterson, T.J. Werner and Kyle Massner had big games offensively for Burlington.
