Normal operations in Hancher Auditorium, Voxman Hall, E.C. Mabie Theatre, the Art Building, the Art Building West and the Museum of Art at the University of Iowa will be suspended at 5 p.m. today, according to the Unversity of Iowa.
Faculty and staff on the arts campus have been asked to have their essential items removed by then because access to these buildings may be limited at any time and with short notice because of the rising Iowa River.
Departmental offices in these buildings will be moved to temporary locations on campus, according to University officials.
Because of the threat of flooding, the University of Iowa arts campus and the University of Iowa Museum of Art will be closed until further notice.
