Iowa City sculptor Greg Belback’s works are on display through June 28 at the Quad-City ArtsCenter in Rock Island.
Belback, who teaches at Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, creates sculptures based on the concepts of evolution and religion. He uses recycled and reconstituted materials, and he also incorporates neon and other light works.
His work is on display along with that of painter Armin Mühsam, a German native who now teaches at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Mühsam’s paintings focus on a changing landscape.
There will be an opening reception for Belback and Mühsam from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 23.
