Art by Karen Blomme. Buy this Photo
Being in New Orleans just before Hurricane Katrina hit had an effect on the work of artist Karen Blomme. She was in Louisiana, working on her master of fine arts degree at the University of New Orleans, when Katrina hit and she and her husband were forced to evacuate.
The work of Blomme, an art teacher at Bettendorf High School, is on display through Aug. 2 at Midcoast Fine Arts at Centre Station in Moline.
