The geniuses behind Soda Club — the at-home carbonated beverage making machine — know how to sell a product. They hit on the environment, pocket book, convenience, health and time-saving issues.

That, in life, is called the Golden Five. (OK, we just made that up, but there’s probably some cool name for creating a product that does all this and quenches your thirst, too.)

Soda Club is a countertop appliance that allows the user to inject flavors (cola, orange, lemon-lime, etc.) into a bottle you fill with water. The Soda Club carbonates the water and uses the flavors to bring you your very own pop to drink.

The flavors contain two-thirds less sugar and carbs than a typical soda drink. Also, you can make a bottle in less than 30 seconds — quicker than it takes to make a cup of coffee.

The environment? Covered. Imagine all the bottles and cans you’ll eliminate over the course of a year. If you’re a typical consumer, that will be more than 1,000 bottles and cans — not to mention the more than 10 cubic feet of packaging.

If you’re traveling on vacation, you could make your own on the go. A small can of flavoring will produce 36 cans of pop to drink.

And at $89 for the Soda Club, you can quickly calculate the savings, too.

“People make lemonade, iced tea and coffee without giving it a second thought. So why buy prepared carbonated drinks when you can enjoy the many benefits of making them yourself in just seconds, with no cleanup?” Soda-Club USA president Gerard Meyer said.
