IOWA CITY — Two former Iowa football players accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a campus dormitory last fall are scheduled to be arraigned on July 17 in Johnson County District Court.
Cedric Everson and Abe Satterfield allegedly assaulted the woman in a Hillcrest Residence Hall dorm room on Oct. 14, 2007. Both men are charged with second-degree sexual abuse. Satterfield also is charged with third-degree sexual abuse.
Coach Kirk Ferentz suspended both players in late October. Everson and Satterfield have since transferred to other schools.
Ferentz and Iowa associate athletic director Fred Mims are among 30 potential witnesses who may be called during the trial. The prosecution’s list became public on Wednesday as the Johnson County attorney filed former charges.
