Public offices and services affected by the July 4 holiday weekend include:
U.S. Post Offices will be closed Friday, with no home mail delivery.
MetroLINK — The transit service will not operate Friday. Channel Cat will run if water levels have receded.
Iowa cities and counties
Bettendorf — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday garbage collection, including recycling, bulky and yard waste will be on Saturday, July 5. All material should be left curbside by 7 a.m. Call (563) 344-4088 for information. Transit service will not operate. Bettendorf Public Library, Family Museum, Herbert D. Goettsch Community Center, parks and recreation administrative offices and Life fitness Center will be closed. Palmer Grill Restaurant and Palmer Hills Golf Course will be open until 7 p.m., weather permitting. Splash Landing will be open 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Clinton — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday’s garbage collection, including recycling and yard waste will be Saturday, July 5. Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency will be closed Friday, but open 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 5.
Davenport — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday garbage collection will be Saturday, July 5. CitiBus will not operate; compost facility, libraries, Adler Theatre box office will be closed. Parking meters will not be enforced Friday and Saturday. Beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, the event rate of $2 will be charged at Redstone parking ramp, 101 Main St., and RiverCenter parking ramp, 102 E. 2nd St. Harrison Street ramp, 202 Harrison St., will be free. Vander Veer Conservatory will be open.
Eldridge — City offices will be closed Friday. Garbage collection will not be affected.
LeClaire — City offices will be closed Friday. Garbage collection will not be affected.
Scott County Courthouse — County offices will be closed Friday.
Iowa drivers’ license stations — Offices will be closed Friday.
Iowa Workforce Center — Office will be closed Friday.
Illinois cities and counties
East Moline — City offices will be closed Friday. Thursday and Friday’s garbage collection will be done on Thursday, July 3.
Moline — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday garbage collection will be Saturday.
Milan — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday garbage collection will be Monday.
Rock Island — City offices will be closed Friday. Friday garbage collection will be Saturday, July 5.
Silvis — City offices will be closed on Friday. Garbage collection will not be affected.
Rock Island County Courthouse — County offices will be closed on Friday.
Illinois Job Services — Offices will be closed Friday.
Illinois drivers’ license stations — Offices will be closed Friday.
