The Quad-City Botanical Center in Rock Island will open its new Enchanted Garden with a children’s tea party preview Saturday afternoon. Why Saturday afternoon?
“According to folklore, the first day of summer, June 21st, is the best day for fairy spotting!” the botanical center states.
The garden includes Spanish moss and white, twinkling lights. There will be crafts and fairy-size food, and children attending are asked to dress in tea party attire.
The Enchanted Garden continues through Aug. 1.
