Fun Run, parade, picnic planned in West Liberty

Muscatine County Parade 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for 8 a.m. July 13 at Muscatine County fairground. Participants can choose 5K, one mile and 50-yard dash races. Events cost $12 or

The Muscatine County Fair Parade themed “It’s a Tradition” will feature tractors, vintage cars, Shriners, dancers, fair royalty, music, and floats starting at 2 p.m. from the fairgrounds traveling north on Calhoun Street.

After the parade, the fun will continue at Kimberly Park with the Blackthorn Stick trio playing traditional Irish music, community group food booths and free swimming at the pool.
