Top chefs to compete in Taste of Elegance

Chefs from the Quad-City area will participate in the Quad-Cities Taste of Elegance competition from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, in the banquet room at the Isle of Capri.

Chefs include Mon Sayasit (Bistro on First), Eran Salzmann (Capital Zebest Cafe on Main), Jerry Brunhaker (Alante Trattoria), Brian Olsen (Red Crow Grille), Jason Gomez (Farradday’s), Jeff Grunder (Iowa Machine Shed), Blake Schar (Woodfire Grill), Jeff Ryser (Bass Street Chop House) and Mike Chapman (The Button Factory).

Pork will be the featured dish in the competition.

Tickets to the event are $15 and available by calling (563) 441-4246 or (563) 349-6205. Proceeds will benefit the Junior Chef de Cuisine Association.
