Smoke-free keeps the party going

I am a non-smoker and I think the Iowa smoking ban is a wonderful thing.

I’m a college student at Kaplan University and being in that age group, I like to go out and have a good time. It used to be that I’d go to Shenanigan’s or Lumpy’s only for an hour or two because I couldn’t breathe or started getting a headache from all the cigarette smoke. Now I can go out with the fellas and party until the place closes.

The fact that the air is smoke-free makes the night much more enjoyable. When I get home I don’t reek of cigarettes! I’m not against smoking, if people want to smoke it’s their choice. I’m just glad Iowa is making an effort to clean up the air and make public places more enjoyable for people who don’t usually go out because they knew it would be smoky.
