Genesis Health System is donating more than 70 refrigerators to flood victims in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with the assistance of Roederer Transfer and Storage of Davenport.

The refrigerators have been in use at Genesis Medical Center facilities to store medications and food. Genesis is in the process of upgrading the refrigerators. Roederer is donating the cost of transporting the refrigerators to Cedar Rapids.

The refrigerators will be available through Cedar Hills Community Church in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Hills has been active in flood-relief efforts. The church temporarily housed the Salvation Army, which had been flooded out of its previous location, and is hosting flood-relief workers from Massachusetts.
