The Israeli Scouts, called the Tzofim Friendship Caravan, will appear at the River Music Experience on Sunday, Aug. 3
The event is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Quad-Cities.
Over 60,000 youths participate in Boy and Girl Scouts in Israel. The Friendship Caravan is part of a delegation sent to North America to represent the State of Israel every summer. The group features 10 talented scouts and two adult leaders who are traveling through the United States and Canada.
Scouts perform a lively music, dancing and costume-changing program at venues such as camps, hospitals and nursing homes, festivals and community centers. The interactive program features songs and dances in Hebrew and English, bringing a taste of Israeli culture to North America.
The group has appeared on TV and in other media reaching people of all age groups and their appearance is part of a cultural series that celebrates Israel’s 60th birthday.
The program is free and open to the general public. It takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Red Stone Room, River Music Experience, Davenport.
