Bix 7: Lots of water ready

7:27 a.m. Volunteers poured cold water into hundreds of Wendy’s cups outside the RiverCenter. The water is a hot commodity before the race at this pre-race only water station. “It’s not real hot out. We’re not as busy as it usually is, but it has been picking up lately,” said Kris Ketelsen, an 11-year volunteer at the Bix. The table has gone through about 500 cups so far.
