Bix 7: Runner attempts first Bix

7:40 a.m. Timothy Sencl of Ames is running his first Bix. He runs about 30 miles a week. He has heard the course is tough but isn’t too intimidated. He and others have thought about running the Bix previously but decided this year they had to make it to Davenport. “If we never come back, it’ll be worth,” he said.
