7:55 a.m. Ready to go among the first 500 runners is Bobbi Dakota, Davenport, who is running the race  in memory of her late daugher, Misi Kwinski.

The 38-year-old Kwinski died last year in a car accident, her mother said. Kwinski’s 6-year-old son survived and last night participated in the Alcoa Jr. Bix race. Dakota expects to run the race in under 65 minutes.
