Insurance group donates to Red Cross

Selective Insurance Group Inc. presented a $5,000 donation Thursday to American Red Cross Quad-City chapter for victims of local flooding.
An additional $25,000 was announced for offices in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo and Des Moines. The donation was made in partnership with Trissel Graham & Toole Inc. and Mel Foster Insurance.
Inspiration for the contributions came from independent agents working with flood victims, said David Bond, vice president of local Selective operations.
