Shoulder work will close lanes on interstates

Resealing asphalt on road shoulders on Interstates 380, 80 and 74 will restrict traffic to one lane in Linn, Cedar and Scott counties beginning Wednesday, according to Iowa Department of Transportation.
A single lane of roadway will be closed during moving operations starting on I-380 north of Cedar Rapids. The next phase will involve I-80 in Cedar County, followed by I-80 in Scott County and end with resealing on I-74 in Scott County. Contractor, Manatts of Brooklyn, Iowa, will not work on I-80 and I-74 in Scott County between 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 8 p.m. daily. Entire project is slated for completion by mid-September.
