Festival of Trees to hold gingerbread workshop

Quad-City Arts Festival of Trees will hold its annual gingerbread workshop beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Iowa, Des Moines and Missouri rooms in the RiverCenter, 136 E. Third St., Davenport.
The two-hour workshop allows participants to learn all the tricks of making a holiday gingerbread house from the experts, including professional cake decorators. Each person attending will receive a booklet filled with fool-proof gingerbread recipes, tips and patterns. Cutters and tools will be available for sale at the event.
