A fire broke out in the basement of St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center in Rock Island about 8 p.m. Saturday, but the blaze quickly was extinguished and nobody was injured, fire officials said.
Officials said they’re not sure what caused the fire. Firefighters had residents ready to evacuate the nursing home at 767 30th St., but that wasn’t necessary, officials said.
