Vote: Help us pick a new comic!

As regular readers of “For Better or For Worse” are well aware, the long-running comic strip is building toward a much-anticipated event, the marriage of the Elizabeth Patterson and Anthony Caine characters.

However, the wedding is also expected to bring a conclusion of sorts to the comic strip that has been a daily and Sunday staple in the Quad-City Times for many years. Aug. 31 is scheduled to be the final new episode in the current story line of the Patterson family that “For Better or For Worse” creator Lynn Johnston has been telling for the past 29 years.

So, beginning in September, we plan to offer a new comic strip that will feature the same kind of family foibles and dynamics that made “For Better or For Worse” so popular. And we want our readers to help us choose the replacement.
